Présentation
RAIN’s mission is to empower people to choose the lifestyles of their dreams. RAIN’s mentors are traditional women rural and nomadic with little or no formal education. Goat herding is a core part of their identities and incomes. Yet many are unable to buy the foundation animals for developing a herd. RAIN’s Mentor Herding Program puts women on a sustainable path with one more tool for generating food security and income.

We teach the value of vaccinations for young animals and the importance of buying feed to keep animals alive in times of drought. RAIN’s Mentor Herding Program puts women on a sustainable path with one more tool for generating food security and income. RAIN donates starting goat herds for women in rural Niger so they may reach sustainability.

Impact
Hundreds of families having stable access to cheese, milk, meat, and income from the sale of goats and goat products. Women having more access to income will enable their children to go to school rather than work at home.
