Objectifs
The Balochistan Education Sector Plan (BESP) 2013-2018 provides a clear roadmap in three main areas : * Improved governance and management. * Access and equity. * Education quality and relevance.
Resultats
* To ensure sustainable change, the BBEP adopted a systems approach to improve governance and management support functions. * To improve planning, accountability and transparency mechanisms BBEP set up a new Performance Management System in the Education Secretariat, based on rigorous data-regimes up and down the education system. * Revamp of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) to generate accurate and timely data for planning.
An Android-based Real-Time School Monitoring System (RTSM) linked to EMIS was rolled out to improve accountability and transparency. * BBEP established the Balochistan Assessment and Examination Commission (BAEC) to feed information on student learning to other relevant institutions.* BBEP therefore provides technical assistance to the Provincial Institute of Teacher Education (PITE) to develop and demonstrate a replicable and scalable model of continuous capacity development of teachers.
