Résumé
My thesis is entitled "Environmental System Integration for Mosque Architecture with special reference to the hot dry climate regions", in which the environmental design of the mosque is discussed as a result of an equation which composed with a set of constants and variables. Dealing with constants only or variables only (with one of the parties of the equation without the other) will not reach us a right results, but with them together to ensure the most convenient accurate results. The constants are those physical requirements and standards for the design of the mosque as a building such as : Directive mass towards the Qiblah direction, and taking into account the capacity required for the number of worshipers,… etc. The variables is represented by psychological and humanitarian requirements for users of the building themselves,’ including their environmental comfort needs. This only can be achieved by using environmental systems integrated in the architecture of mosques
