Résumé
The existing Angereb Dam reservoir was designed for the water demand of Gondar city population up to year 2020. Sedimentation adversely affects the reservoir capacity. The methodology applied encompasses collection of data and analysis, estimating deposition of sediment with rating curves, calibration and validation of SRH -1D model with the observed data, prediction of certain future sediment discharges up to 2015 and measures for sediment reduction and applying alternative analysis and effect of measures compared to usual operations
