Résumé
Lower cretaceous aquifer system covers most of the Sinai and extends to south Israel. It is a confined aquifer except for a narrow strip at its southern part where the aquifer crops out. This aquifer has been modeled to simulate the groundwater flow using a computer model then different scenarios of future groundwater exploitation are proposed and the corresponding draw downs are obtained. The main target of these scenarios is to determine the best way of exploiting the aquifer, which minimizes the flow towards the east taking into consideration the sustainability of the water supply for future generations.
