Résumé
This work aims a defining the climatic guidelines for urban planning in the city of Aracaju, located on the Northeast coast of Brazil, from the urban climate studies. In order to achieve this, several methods and tools by remote sensing and simulations with specific software have been used to provide relevant information on urban climate, which were integrated into a geooperational environment (GIS). In addition, an urban climatological network was implemented in the city aiming at evaluating the thermal patterns in several locations. This network provided high-quality semi-hourly data over a period of 2 years (2014-2016). The results of this thesis are presented from the (bio)climatic assessment and urban planning. Regarding the first aspect, a study about the sea breeze front that helped to evaluate its impact on the meteorological conditions of the State of Sergipe was presented. This study not only revealed the existence of the sea breeze front including its onset, cessation, duration, strength, and inland penetration, but mostly found that the development of the sea breeze front is related to warmer days, since breeze days the average temperature increases by 1°C and the solar radiation by 290 KJ m-2. The existing thermal patterns of the city were taken into consideration for the climate assessment framework. Based on the urban climatological network, it was demonstrated that the average intensity of the Urban Heat Island in Aracaju, both diurnal and nocturnal, was not significant and it varied approximately by 0.5°C in the hot season and cool season the intensities increased by 1.3°C, on average, due to wind speed decrease. On the other hand, the Park Cool Island, which considers the role played by green spaces in temperature reduction in relation to the immediate surroundings, showed seasonal and daily dynamics, decreasing average temperature by up to 2 °C. At the same time, well defined local climates were influenced by a combination of features such as urban geometry, green spaces, and bodies of water that are more exposed to the action of the winds. These local climates generated different thermal comfort conditions in Aracaju.
