Résumé
Architecture is undoubtedly one of the most prominent symbols of the civilization of any nation ; arrangement type of the buildings and their interior or exterior design has close relationship with the community’s culture and economy. Over the past several years, because of social, political and economic changes, many transformations have occurred in the type and residential issue formation. These changes can emerge in the form of development or decline and death of cities throughout history. Concerns of linking with past and fail in creation of a successful architecture process which could be accurately in direction and historical evolution of Iranian architecture value and have a share in contemporary world architecture and even be able to contribute to the advancement of today’s architecture. Notions of identity, culture, tradition and history are key to understanding the contemporary architecture of a country. In contemporary Iranian art, the importance of the notion of identity has become diminished. The loss of the concept of identity is not specific to the domain of architecture , as this weakness is evident in various cultural, social aspects of every day’s life and other fields. Having such a rich architectural heritage, the contemporary architecture of Iran has chaotically deformed. IMPORTANCE OF IDENTITY AND CONCEPT In countries like Iran, there exists a gap between the contemporary culture and historical heritage. Misconception of today’s in many cases “imported” culture and the “existing past”, has not been reconciled through a “process”. The very crucial issue for the architecture is to reinterpret and incorporate the legacy in new developments. We dedicate our thesis to studing a process of design which incorporates identity and tradition meanwhile it is contemporary . REVITALIZATION In our research, we realized the significance of incorporation of the architectural, historical and cultural heritage. At the same time it is important to develop the idea of revitalization of the existing historical-scape. The end is to preserve the historical edifices through the process of re-programing and re-defining the historical edifices and adjusting them with today’s requirements. ALBERGO DIFFUSO Through our research we found the idea of “ALBERGO DIFFUSO” an interesting approach to revitalization of historical-scape. It represents a new alternative to traditional tourist accommodations , such as hotels, B&B or farmhouses. It is part of a formula for accommodation capacity that is particularly suitable for small rural centers. This approach does not require construction of new structure but rather aims to restore and recuperate existing buildings in accordance with local cultural and historical features and development of small rural destinations while avoiding depopulation.
