Résumé
The image of Mashhad city in Iran has been inextricably shaped both by Imam Reza Holy shrine history monument and its royal garden, river and mountains. In the expressive visual description of 16th century, Mashhad has been identified as the ‘profusion of gardens’. The growth of Mashhad as the Major transportation, business, tourist and cultural hub in Iran, during the last years resulted the significant loss of its agriculture lands and the increase of environmental pollution and socio-economic problems. The research studies range from territorial scale to a site-specific project and more tangible urban –cultural landscape intervention. Within territorial scale it aims to stablishing a new metropolitan centrality, cultural landscape, water management, and ecological corridor in the center of the project. A responsive metropolitan planning, urban dynamics can be strategic drivers for sustainable development. Strategy has been introduced based on Metropolitan, Regional and Urban Green and Grey Infrastructure to develop a more inclusive vision for the city. Using the green corridor as an attractor and connector for an integrated productive landscape and generator of more resilient for regenerating urban public realm. The proposal is to degrade urban transformation into a resilient articulated system of self-sufficient pro- ductile landscape then works with the city on metropolitan urban and architecture levels. The architectural project focuses on the site next to the main train station one of the major hinge point of Mashhad. The agriculture project aims to create the experience in the area with a dynamic movement and water management in between the landmarks and the elements of architectural project.
