Ra’s Eirh and its neighbouring dwellings are located in Diksam region Socotra Governorate. Being scattered a long the main road between Hadibu and Nujifd plain and in the Fermhin protected area. Water and electricity are two main obstacles to communities’ livelihood. Community group of Ra’a eirh proposed to use solar energy for home electrification. There live about 73 families/household with total population of 578 inhabitants (323 M and 255 F). Project will improve community livelihood, supporting government policy towards rural communities’ welfare. Further, it will save local community financial resources that’s used for purchasing conventional fuel. The annual saving is about US$ 80 per family. Further project will save the environment the amount of CO2 9,464 ton/year. Project will raise community awareness about climate change and its impact targeting 40 men and 40 women.
