Descriptif
This project aims at providing newly and easily managed eco-agro-production technologies on household level (20 units of wicking beds technology for producing food vegetables) to 20 poor families (mainly women headed HHS) in 2 governorate areas : 14 poor families from Um Tuba community-East Jerusalem and 6 special hardship poor families from the main 3 cities of Bethlehem Governorate (Beit Sahour, Bethlehem, Beit Jala), with main focus on Area C. Also, beneficiaries will receive suitable training and technical backstopping to build capacity in managing these systems and sustaining their production.

The main outcomes of the project are : 4 vulnerable communities in the Southern part of the West Bank got access to practice wicking bed as agro-food production technologies and adapted it to optimize water consumption for irrigation and contribute in enhancing socioeconomic, health and environmental practices to reduce their food insecurity and the project 20 beneficiaries (households) will build their capacity in managing the wicking bed in a sustainable approach and how to produce more food themselves.
