Description
This project helps fulfil the potential and promotes the economic participation of women in several provinces in northern Afghanistan. Currently, barely 20 percent of the working population is female. The women want to become more independent in order to strengthen their right to have their voices heard in family decisions. Courses offer them the opportunity to learn to read and write. Topics covered include nutrition. There are also further education modules to give women a chance to find jobs or establish small businesses, thereby gaining them more influence within the family.
