Description
Sixty percent of the population in Kenya work in the farming sector, and suffer repeated hardships due to extreme droughts and flooding. This project in the south-east of the country, offers a consultancy service to help 55 farmers’ organisations update their knowledge and exchange information, e.g. to handle extreme weather more effectively. It also aims to facilitate access to markets, and build a lasting relationship with distributors based on offering small farmers fair prices for their goods.
